Along with the opening of the new lifestyle shopping mall Saga this fall, the world’s leading sports retailer Decathlon will enter the Latvian market with its largest store in the Baltics. Decathlon will be a part of the concept of the new shopping mall establishing the first sports cluster in Latvia, combining sports goods store, fitness centre, as well as outdoor training and leisure facilities.

The total area of Decathlon store will be 5,250 square meters. A special Decathlon outdoor basketball court will be set up for testing of goods, trainings and even small sports competitions.

COBALT team led by Managing Partner Dace Silava-Tomsone advised Decathlon entering the lease agreement with SIA VPH Latvia, the developer of the shopping mall Saga.

The Decathlon chain, established in France, includes more than 1,400 stores in 47 countries in Europe, North America, South America, Africa and Asia. In total, the company employs almost 80,000 people.
