Lithuania-based international agribusiness company AB Linas Agro Group has entered agreements with Latvian private and legal persons on the acquisition of 87 % of shares of AS Putnu fabrika Ķekava and 100% shares of each SIA Broileks, SIA Cerova and SIA Lielzeltiņi – Latvian based poultry production and processing companies. The closing of the transaction is subject to a number of conditions precedent, including merger clearance with the Competition Council.
The value of the transactions reaches 12.5 million euros.
AB Linas Agro Group is a parent company of company group engaged in the production and trade of grains, oilseeds, feedstuff and agricultural inputs. It controls companies in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Denmark. With the announced acquisition AB Linas Agro Group intends to expand and diversify their activities by adding higher value-added products to the group’s portfolio.
