COBALT Partner Ingrīda Kariņa-Bērziņa appointed as WIPO Domain Name arbitrator

The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Arbitration and Mediation Center has appointed COBALT Latvia Partner Ingrīda Kariņa-Bērziņa to serve on the Domain Name Administrative Panel. She is the first from the Baltics invited to serve as a WIPO arbitrator for domain name disputes.

WIPO panelists are selected for their impartiality, sound judgment, and substantive experience in intellectual property law, electronic commerce and the Internet. Typically, they are practicing attorneys and serve as panelists in a part-time capacity.

Based in Geneva, the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center was established in 1994 and has processed over 39,000 cases. It is one of just four bodies approved by ICANN to resolve domain name disputes under the Uniform Dispute Resolution Policy.
