COBALT Estonia successfully represented the leading Nordic contract manufacturing services provider Hanza Holding AB in relation to obtaining merger clearance from the Estonian Competition Authority to the acquisition of the Finnish group Metalliset, a global provider of mechanics manufacturing services.
The matter involved sophisticated markets which have not been widely considered by competition authorities thus far. Therefore, defining the relevant product and geographic markets and estimating the possible size of the relevant market required novel approaches. It is also worth noting that the merger clearance was obtained within less than two weeks from the submission of the merger filing.
On this matter COBALT Estonia team included partner Elo Tamm and senior associate Katri Paas-Mohando.
