The European Commission project “Consumer Champion” is a specialised series of trainings targeted at consumer professionals across the European Union. BEUC, The European Consumer Organisation based in Brussels annually implements the project in only a few preselected EU Member States. The trainings were organised in Lithuania for the first time.
COBALT’s Senior Associate Eglė Bakštytė was invited to take part in the project in the capacity of an expert in consumer law and to conduct a two-day intensive training course for selected representatives from Lithuanian public authorities, consumer associations and other Lithuanian NGOs.
During the trainings Eglė presented to the participants key peculiarities of national regulation of consumer protection, practical aspects of consumer protection, new legislative initiatives.
