Rasa Zaščiurinskaitė Joins COBALT as Head of the Firm’s Competition Law Practice

Rasa Zaščiurinskaitė has joined COBALT Lithuania to head the Competition Law Practice Group, one of the firm’s highly regarded and internationally recognised practices. Prior to joining COBALT, Rasa was an Associate Partner at TGS Baltic.

For over 13 years, Rasa Zaščiurinskaitė has concentrated her practice in competition law and has substantial experience in energy, pharmacy, aviation and other regulated areas of law. During her legal career, she has advised clients, both local and international, on competition law and other commercial law matters.

In addition, Rasa has acted for clients in commercial and administrative disputes involving various aspects of European Union law, state aid, competition, aviation, energy, and healthcare law.

Competition lawyers at COBALT Lithuania represent both local and foreign companies before the European Commission, Lithuanian public authorities, the Competition Council and courts of all instances and assist them in obtaining merger clearance in complex M&A transactions. Among their clients are DNB bankas, Viking Malt Oy, the largest malt producer in the Baltic and Nordic region, AB Lietuvos geležinkeliai, UAB AMIC Lietuva, Riga International Airport, AB Rokiškio sūris, UAB Marijampolės pieno konservai, and many others.

Rasa has a Master’s degree in Law from Vilnius University and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in EU Competition Law from King’s College London. She has also gained valuable knowledge of EU competition law through attendance of numerous international and national conferences.

Rasa has delivered presentations at local and international EU law conferences and has been contributing articles on EU competition law to various publications.
