COBALT advised KJK fund on acquiring 50% stake in Tahe Outdoors

COBALT advised Finnish private equity fund KJK on acquiring 50% stake in Estonian Tahe Outdoors OÜ. The funds injected by KJK will be used foremost to acquire a leading watersports equipment manufacturer BIC Sport, which will create the second largest watersports equipment producer in Europe.

KJK Fund III is mainly investing in direct equity investments into both small or medium-size companies in Eastern Europe.

Tahe Outdoors, established in 1989, is one of the biggest kayak, canoe and paddling equipment manufacturers in Europe. Today, Tahe Outdoors operates 5 brands of watersports equipment and has 3 factories.

Our work comprised drafting the financing documents and advising the client in negotiations. The client was advised by senior associate Kristjan Kotkas and associate Madis Reppo.
