At the end of 2009 the formation of Swedbank Life Insurance SE on the basis of three Baltic life insurance providers was successfully completed. COBALT Riga office consulted Swedbank Elukindlustus AS, a major life insurance company operating in Latvia through a branch, on establishment of a European Company in the Baltics, including Latvian tax, corporate and insurance law aspects of the reorganization.
COBALT Tallinn and Vilnius offices consulted Swedbank Elukindlustus AS and Swedbank Gyvybes Draudimas on Estonian and Lithuanian law aspects respectively.
