Pikaajaliste projektide puhul v\u00f5ivad ootamatud hinnamuutused seada ohtu nii t\u00f6\u00f6v\u00f5tja kui ka tellija huvid. Praktikas on Eestis enim kasutusel Statistikaameti poolt avaldatud ehitushinnaindeks, samuti on kasutusel kokkulepped konkreetsete materjalide hinnaindeksite (nt puit, teras) v\u00f5i t\u00f6\u00f6j\u00f5ukulude indeksi kasutamiseks. M\u00f5nedes lepingutes v\u00f5ib n\u00e4ha ka indeksite kombineerimist \u2013 n\u00e4iteks 40 % hinnast indekseeritakse vastavalt t\u00f6\u00f6j\u00f5ukulude indeksile ning 60% ehitusmaterjali hinnaindeksiga. Riigihangete raames s\u00f5lmitud lepingute puhul on aga oluliseks erisuseks see, et indekseerimise v\u00f5imalus tuleb ette n\u00e4ha juba hanke v\u00e4ljakuulutamisel. Kui tegemist on l\u00fchiajalise ja v\u00e4ikese mahuga t\u00f6\u00f6ga, kus hinnamuutuste risk on minimaalne, v\u00f5ib sobivaim lahendus olla fikseeritud hinnaga leping. Pikemaajaliste v\u00f5i suuremahuliste projektide puhul, kus materjali- ja t\u00f6\u00f6j\u00f5ukulude k\u00f5ikumine v\u00f5ib m\u00f5jutada projekti tasuvust, tasub kaaluda indekseeritud hindadega lepingut.
