Toomas Luhaäär has received the Order of the White Star

Toomas Luhaäär, co-founder and current Of Counsel of COBALT Estonia has received the the Order of the White Star from President Alar Karis.
In his practice, Toomas focuses on corporate and commercial law, energy and utilities, public procurements and PPP projects. Toomas is an internationally recognised lawyer. A number of international legal directories such as Chambers Global, Chambers Europe and Legal 500 recognise Toomas as one of the leading practitioners in Estonia. In 1990, Toomas Luhaäär co-founded the first private law firm in Estonia, Lepik & Luhaäär, which is now known as COBALT. Toomas has been a member of the Estonian Bar Association since 1984 and has previously been the chairman of Court of Honor of the Estonian Bar Association.
In addition to his work as an attorney, Toomas is also the island elder of Naissaar and member of the management board of the NGO Naissaarlaste Kogukond. Toomas has supported several projects on Naissaaar, including the establishment of the island’s first gas station and the Nargen Nord visitor center.
The Order of the White Star is bestowed on Estonian citizens and foreigners to give recognition for services rendered to the Estonian state. The Order of the White Star was established by Konstantin Päts in 1936 to commemorate the battle for freedom of the Estonian people.
