Harju District Court convicted former Electrolux executive Martin Kirsberg of large-scale embezzlement.
According to the charges, between 2012 and 2020, Martin Kirsberg, together with third parties, embezzled Electrolux’s assets by granting unlawful bonuses to himself and others and by submitting fictitious invoices. The criminal proceedings, which began following Electrolux’s criminal report, were preceded by an internal investigation carried out by COBALT.
The court imposed a suspended sentence with a three-year probation period and ordered Martin Kirsberg to compensate Electrolux for damages and late-payment interest, exceeding EUR 500,000 in total.
The judgment has not yet entered into force.
Electrolux was represented by Partner Lembit Tedder and Associate Saara Maria Puur.
