As is the case almost every year, the Government of the Republic has set new minimum wages for 2026 (albeit later than usual).

From 1 April, the new hourly minimum wage is EUR 5.67 (gross) and the new monthly minimum wage for full-time work is EUR 946 (gross). If the minimum wage has been agreed as the wages in an employee’s employment contract, the employer must inform the employee in writing of the new wages and, from 1 April, pay them the higher wages.
