Our Managing Associate Annika Peetsalu commented as a representative of AS Terminal on ongoing proceedings regarding Olerex in an article published in the ERR portal, where it is investigated whether the fuel seller has fulfilled the biofuel obligation.

Annika explains that the proceedings should come to an end as quickly and efficiently as possible, because by nature the breach is very simple, and the circumstances as well as facts should be easy to identify. According to Annika, the proceedings must determine whether Olerex has fulfilled the biofuel obligation or not, and the Environmental Board should not have any obstacles to make a decision immediately. When a violation is detected, the harshest possible penalties should be applied, including the suspension of the license for the duration of the criminal proceedings to prevent further damage to other market participants.
