Verification platform Verifeye Online secures investment from New Nordic Ventures

The Latvian start-up Verifeye Online, an identity verification platform specialising in the facilitation of remote customer onboarding for financial institutions and banks, has secured investment from New Nordic Ventures.

Verifeye Online, established in Riga, has developed a platform enabling European banks and other financial institutions to streamline the onboarding of remote customers and speed up the online authentication process for setting-up bank accounts or applying for various banking products. Their technology facilitates swift identity confirmation within 60 seconds by employing biometrics from uploaded identification documents and self-portraits, whilst providing supplementary services such as risk assessment and fraud reports.

COBALT team advising Verifeye Online in relation to the investment agreement and IP advice was was led by Partner Indriķis Liepa and Senior Associate Diāna Zepa, and included Senior Associate Agnese Gerharde.
