COBALT represented AS Technobalt Holding and Tarmo Männasalu in the criminal case against the former manager of AS E-Profiil Toomas Jõgi.
The Harju County Court convicted Toomas Jõgi, the former manager of E-Profil, of fraud, embezzlement and breach of accounting obligations. Toomas Jõgi must pay 15 million euros for the damage caused to both Technobalt and other investors. The judgment is extraordinary because the court satisfied the civil claims to a very large extent, and the amount must be paid by the convicted person himself, not by the bankrupt company. At the same time, Jõgi was sentenced to almost six years of probation, as well as a four-year business ban.
