About

Maksimas will lead the Corporate and Contract Law Practice Group. He has more than 30 years of legal experience, including over 25 years as a practicing attorney. Maksimas focuses on M&A transactions, B2B transactions, corporate law, and pharmaceutical and medical law.

Over the course of his career, Maksimas has worked on M&A transactions for more than 28 years and has successfully completed more than 80 deals. He has extensive experience leading cross-border M&A projects involving investors from Lithuania and other countries investing in Latvia, Ukraine, and other jurisdictions. His work often involves close cooperation with auditors, tax advisers, and corporate finance consultants.

Maksimas previously worked at COBALT from May 2011 to December 2018, where he advised on numerous M&A transactions. During that time, he spent four years as a Partner in the firm’s Minsk office and also led the Corporate and Regulatory Practice Group for several years.

He holds an LL.M. from Vilnius University (1996) and has been a member of the Lithuanian Bar since 2000.
