Strioga Family Foundation has expanded its presence in the Nordic energy market through a partnership with Swiss-based BESS developer Delta Capacity to develop a 125 MW / 300 MWh utility-scale battery energy storage system (BESS).

The ready-to-build project, located in Finland, was jointly acquired from Helios Nordic Energy AB, a leading Nordic developer of renewable energy and battery storage projects. Having secured the key development milestones required for construction, the project is expected to commence commercial operations by the end of 2027. Once operational, it will enhance grid flexibility, provide energy balancing services and facilitate the integration of renewable energy into Finland’s power system.

The investment marks Strioga Family Foundation’s entry into the Finnish energy market and reflects its commitment to supporting critical energy infrastructure and accelerating the energy transition across Europe.

Strioga Family Foundation is a private family investment foundation focused on advancing the global energy transition through long-term investments in renewable energy infrastructure, battery storage, climate technologies and energy resilience projects.
