COBALT advised the shareholder of UAB Kuncų ambulatorinė klinika, operating Vėtrungė clinic in Klaipėda, on the sale of 100% shares of the company to Affidea group, the leading provider of cancer care services in Europe. The deal value is not disclosed.
Opened in 1995, Vėtrungė clinic is one of the first private medical institutions in Klaipėda. Since 2008, the clinic has provided general medical services: healthcare services for children, adults and pregnant women. The clinic boasts highly skilled healthcare professionals and state-of-the-art equipment, which enables to provide the highest standard of care and improve patient experience. The clinic has two branches in Klaipėda.
Affidea is the leading provider of advanced diagnostic imaging, outpatient and cancer care services in Europe, operating 256 centres in 16 countries. Affidea group performs more than 13 million scans each year. Due to continuous focus on patient safety, Affidea is the recipient of the largest number of awards in Europe. Affidea operates even 50% of diagnostic centres recognised by the European Society of Radiology ‘EuroSafe Imaging’.
