COBALT awarded Legal Consultant of the Year at the 2024 Investor of the Year Awards Ceremony

At the 2024 Investor of the Year awards ceremony, held in Riga on May 16, COBALT was named “Legal Consultant of the Year”. The awards ceremony is a joint annual initiative of the Latvian Business Angel Network and the Latvian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association, recognizing investors, advisers, and industry supporters who have made substantial contributions to Latvia’s investment landscape and business growth. This marks the eighth time COBALT’s Latvian office has been homered with this prestigious accolade by the industry.

COBALT received the award for its legal support across a number of landmark transactions in Latvia including the involvement of venture capital funds. Among the deals disclosed in 2024, COBALT’s expertise was notable in  providing legal support to Printify in its merger with Printful, assisting BaltCap in Estonia and Latvia with the acquisition of Unifiedpost Group, advising Meditec AB SIA and Medicloud SIA on the sale of Everfield, and providing legal support to Verifeye Online in relation to the investment by New Nordic Ventures.

Launched in 2015 as a joint initiative by the Latvian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association and the Latvian Business Angel Network, Investor of the Year aims to foster knowledge distribution within Latvia’s angel and venture capital industries, recognizing investors, consultants, and supporters who have significantly contributed to the sector’s development and the overall Latvian investment environment.
