As the volume of real estate development projects continues to grow, COBALT is strengthening its Real Estate and Infrastructure team. This autumn, Deivis Valiulis joins the firm as a Partner, bringing more than 20 years of experience in real estate, construction and energy law.
Deivis Valiulis joins COBALT with more than two decades of professional experience. Throughout his career, he has worked at a number of law firms and advised real estate developers and other market participants.
His key areas of expertise include real estate, energy and construction law, development projects, transactions, financing, infrastructure and dispute resolution.
“For me, it is important to understand the entire lifecycle of a project – from the initial concept and questions around land and permits through to financing and completion of the transaction. In projects of this kind, simply identifying risks is not enough. You need to understand what those risks mean for the business and find solutions that enable the project to move forward at every stage,” says Deivis Valiulis.
He is also a board member of the Lithuanian Real Estate Development Association and RATO Bank, and an arbitrator at the Vilnius Court of Commercial Arbitration.

They involve complex financing structures, permitting, spatial planning, construction contracts and regulatory requirements.
