COBALT welcomes Jūlija Jerņeva as Specialist Counsel

We are pleased to announce that Jūlija Jerņeva has joined the COBALT Latvia office as a Specialist Counsel, further strengthening our Competition Law and Dispute Resolution practice groups.

Jūlija is a sworn advocate with 20 years of experience at leading Latvian law firms. She specializes primarily in competition law, EU law, employment law, and dispute resolution. Throughout her career, she has successfully represented clients in both administrative and civil courts in Latvia, as well as at the European Court of Justice and the Constitutional Court of Latvia. She also brings significant experience in matters related to M&A, construction agreements, and corporate disputes.

Jūlija holds a Master’s degree in EU Law from the College of Europe in Bruges and postgraduate diploma in Competition Law from King’s College London. She regularly shares her expertise by teaching Competition Law and EU law at Riga Graduate School of Law and Public International Law at the University of Latvia. She is recognized amongst top–ranked Competition law experts in Latvia by Chambers Europe and Legal 500.
