One of Latvia’s leading passenger transport operators, Tukuma Auto SIA, has successfully concluded its strategic reorganisation by consolidating a unified structure comprising AIPS SIA, Ludzas Autotransporta uzņēmums SIA, and HANSABUSS LATVIA SIA.

Following the completion of this process, Tukuma Auto has transitioned to its new legal identity and will henceforth operate as Hansabuss Latvija SIA. This merger is a strategic move aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and strengthening its position in the Latvian market, ensuring a unified, high-quality service for customers across the country.

“The successful completion of this complex legal reorganisation involved the seamless consolidation of several distinct entities into a single, robust legal structure. By harmonising the corporate governance and operational frameworks of these four experienced companies, we have created a stable platform for more efficient and competitive transport services throughout Latvia. This legal transition not only ensures the continuity of rights and obligations but also safeguards high service standards and sustainable growth within an international group,” explains Marija Berdova, Co-Head of the Corporate Law Practice Group at COBALT Latvia office.

Founded in 1995, Tukuma Auto has been part of the Estonian Hansa Group since 2016. Hansa Group operates 17 companies across the Baltic States, specialising in passenger transport as well as vehicle sales, leasing, and maintenance services. Operating a fleet of 180 buses, Tukuma Auto serves 2.8 million passengers annually across the Tukums, Dobele, Jēkabpils, Preiļi, and Līvāni regions, as well as the city of Jūrmala, covering a total of 11 million kilometres yearly.
