Alise Artamonova is part of Banking & Finance and the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practice groups. She assists financial institutions with the design of different policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance. Her work also covers matters at the intersection of both practices, with a particular focus on sustainable finance and ESG-related regulatory developments within the financial sector.

Within the ESG team she assists with integrating sustainability into company policies, contracts, and processes. She helps companies understand and address sustainability-related impacts, risks, and opportunities. Alise is an expert on the practical implementation of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Business Conduct, and other leading standards. Compliance with these standards helps clients meet the EU’s sustainability reporting and value chain due diligence requirements.

Alise also has significant experience in intellectual property law matters. She is a Latvian and European Trademark and Design Attorney licensed to represent clients before the Latvian Patent Office and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).
