BaltCap Private Equity Fund III has completed the acquisition of a leading pan-Baltic children’s books and magazines publisher from Egmont International. The acquired companies will become part of BaltCap’s growing Baltic books platform, which currently includes Alma Littera, Pegasas, and Rahva Raamat.

This marks the fourth acquisition for the platform and establishes a strong presence in Latvia, further reinforcing the group’s position as the leading publishing and book retail ecosystem in the Baltics. The transaction expands the group’s publishing capabilities with a focused growth in children’s content – one of its core strategic directions.

The combined portfolio will continue to bring globally recognized characters and stories to readers across the region, maintaining cooperation with leading IP licensors such as Disney, Marvel, Mattel, Hasbro, and Paramount.

BaltCap’s books platform connects Alma Littera, Pegasas, Rahva Raamat, and affiliated publishers and retailers to form a pan-Baltic ecosystem across publishing, retail, and distribution, reaching millions of readers in Lithuania, Estonia, and now Latvia.

COBALT advised BaltCap on the legal aspects of the transaction with a team led by Partner Elijus Burgis and Specialist Counsel Deimantė Pagirienė.
