Dr Juozas Rimas is a Partner and the Head of the Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Practice Group at COBALT Lithuania, specialising in the fields of M&A (Private Equity) and Corporate Law. Juozas Rimas holds a PhD in Law (2010), which he received from Vilnius University for a thesis on corporate law issues in private equity transactions. Dr Rimas has provided transactional and corporate advice to GE, Moog Inc., Johnson & Johnson, Gjensidige, Deutsche Bank, Samskip and many other clients.

Iain Bowler, Partner, Freets (UK), Iain’s work involves commercial transactions of all descriptions including outsourcing, offshoring, manufacturing, consultancy, services and service level agreements, procurement of goods and services, supply chain management, logistics, international trade and capital asset procurement and maintenance. Iain also advises clients in relation to the many different ways of delivering goods and/or services to market, both within the UK and internationally including direct sale, agency, distribution, e-commerce and business format franchising. Hema Singhal, Of Councel, Freeths (UK). She is an experienced commercial lawyer who has worked in multiple sectors including logistics, retail, manufacturing, technology, public sector, education, healthcare and E-commerce. She has many years of experience advising on a wide range of commercial matters, including manufacturing, distribution, agency, licensing, supply and outsourcing agreements, terms and conditions of sale and supply, framework agreements and website policies. With respect to the technology sector, Hema has experience in advising clients in relation to software licences, SaaS agreements, website and app development agreements and outsourcing agreements. Hema is also a data protection expert. She has assisted clients with their privacy policies, privacy notices, data protection agreements and clauses as necessary to ensure compliance with data protection legislation. Andrejus Boicovas has extensive experience in executing and managing private equity investments in Lithuania and other European countries. He has participated in investing in and managing companies in Germany, Poland, Sweden, and other Central European countries operating in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and services sectors.
Asta Krušnauskaitė, Director of the investment company Baltvesta and Head of M&A at Umega Group, a portfolio company of Baltvesta. She has over 20 years of experience in corporate finance, focusing on mergers and acquisitions. Since joining Baltvesta in 2012, Asta has been responsible for M&A activities at Umega Group and has worked on acquisitions in Lithuania, Germany, and Ireland.
Mateusz Wojtowicz, Head of International Corporate Banking at PKO Bank Polski S.A. Experienced banker with over 18 years in corporate finance. Specializes in advising multinational groups on cross-border financing, liquidity, and trade solutions in Poland, with expertise in bilateral, club, and syndicated structures. Previously led international client development for the DACH region at BNP Paribas and held senior relationship roles at ING, Nordea/PKO BP and Santander, overseeing portfolios of large international and Polish corporate groups. He established the sales function at PKO BP’s first corporate branch in Germany (Frankfurt). Mateusz holds a Master’s degree from the Wrocław University of Economics, Faculty of National Economy, with a specialization in finance and banking. Regular attendee at numerous international industry events, including the Finanzsymposium in Mannheim, where he represents the bank in an official capacity.
Izabela Mikołajczyk, Director, Head of Primary Market at the Warsaw Stock Exchange. An experienced leader and capital markets expert with over 16 years of professional experience in investment banking, including more than a decade in comprehensive project management and supervision. Currently, as a Head of the Primary Market Department at the Warsaw Stock Exchange, she is responsible for the development of Poland’s equity and bond primary markets. Previously, she was affiliated with IPOPEMA Securities, a leading Polish non-bank brokerage house, where she held director-level positions within the Investment Banking Department. Throughout her investment banking career, Izabela successfully executed numerous transactions on the Polish capital market – including IPOs, SPOs (follow-ons), and ABBs – gaining extensive expertise in structuring and executing transactions for public companies across various sectors. She has also advised private companies on raising financing through VC funding and pre-IPO rounds, as well as on M&A transactions. Izabela began her professional career at PwC and holds a stockbroker license.
