COBALT advised the technology company MuRayTech on concluding agreements between founders and raising capital.

MuRayTech’s founders are physicists and deep-tech entrepreneurs Andi Hektor and Kristjan Põder. The company operates in Tallinn, Hamburg, and Cambridge.

MuRayTech brings together expertise in lasers, plasma, and muons to replace large particle accelerators with significantly smaller devices that can produce muons and bring them into the everyday work of engineers and doctors. The company focuses on two technologically similar areas: industrial quality control and medical diagnostics. This is an alternative to X-ray radiation, which cannot penetrate large industrial objects and materials, and is not as safe in medicine as muon radiation.

The company’s first investors include Nordic Science Investments from Helsinki, PeaksJah from Estonia, and an investor from Switzerland.

The COBALT team advising MuRayTech consisted of Partners Kristel Raidla-Talur and Karina Paatsi, and Associate Paul Schifrin.
