Lithuanian startup Saltz has raised EUR 20 million in a Series A funding round, marking the largest venture capital investment in a Lithuanian startup this year.
Saltz is developing a B2B food marketplace where kitchen chefs can browse and conveniently order everything they need in one place from more than 100 trusted suppliers across 20 countries. The application brings together catalogues, orders, payments and logistics processes in a single platform.
During the Series A funding round, Saltz secured investments from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), venture capital funds Inovo, Lifeline Ventures, and Change Ventures, Vinted Co-Founder Mantas Mikuckas, Wolt Co-Founder Miki Kuusi, several executives from Shopify, and other business angels.
COBALT team, led by COBALT Partner Eva Suduiko and Associate Partner Aurelija Balčiūnė, advised Saltz on all legal matters related to the investment round.
