The investment fund Raft Capital Baltic Equity Fund invested EUR 7 million in Paupio namai, becoming the majority shareholder.
This marks the fund’s first investment since its establishment. Paupio namai owns Paupio globos namai, a company providing social care and nursing services.
The fund, which previously raised EUR 50 million in investments, plans to invest in fast-growing small and medium-sized enterprises in the Baltic States, with a focus on export-oriented manufacturing companies, innovative product developers and service providers. In the future fund also intends to pursue acquisitions in the Nordic countries and Poland.
According to Artūras Gegužis, Managing Partner of Raft Capital Management, the investment is in line with the fund’s strategy of investing in growing companies.
In the transaction Raft Capital Baltic Equity Fund was advised on all legal matters by COBALT, led by Partner and Head of the Banking and Finance Practice Group Akvilė Bosaitė.
