Jovita Valatkaitė is an Associate Partner and Head of the Employment Law Practice Group at COBALT Lithuania. She specialises in individual and collective employment relations, executive and board member matters, employment disputes, discrimination prevention, pay transparency, and employee data protection. Jovita advises local and international clients on all aspects of employment law – from drafting, amending and terminating employment contracts to organisational restructurings, works council and trade union matters, share option schemes, and remote work policies.
She has extensive experience representing clients before labour dispute commissions and courts, as well as providing strategic advice in complex employment restructuring projects. Jovita is actively involved in international projects related to the implementation of European Union law, including the EU Pay Transparency and Platform Work Directives, and coordinates the cooperation of COBALT’s employment law experts across the Baltic states.
Jovita Valatkaitė is recognized by Chambers Europe and Legal 500 as a “Rising Star” and a recommended expert in employment law. She is also a member of the European Employment Lawyers Association (EELA).
