COBALT joins the Campaign for Greener Arbitrations

2025 - 08 - 13

COBALT is proud to announce that our offices in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania have joined the Campaign for Greener Arbitrations (CGA) by signing the Green Pledge, committing to reduce the environmental impact of our arbitration practice.

The CGA is an initiative founded in 2019 by international arbitrator Lucy Greenwood with the mission of significantly reducing the carbon footprint of the arbitration community. Through its Green Protocols, the CGA promotes practical, sustainable measures – such as limiting unnecessary travel, reducing paper use, and adopting energy-efficient digital practices – that can be implemented by arbitration practitioners and institutions worldwide. The Green Pledge has already been signed by leading arbitral institutions, law firms, and practitioners across the globe.

We are especially proud that our colleague Senior Associate Toms Krūmiņš serves as a member of the CGA Europe Committee, actively contributing to the development and promotion of greener arbitration practices.

“Signing the Green Pledge is a natural step for COBALT – it reflects our unwavering commitment to sustainability and responsible legal practice,” says Toms Krūmiņš.

We invite our peers in the legal community to also sign the Green Pledge and take part in building a more sustainable future not only for international arbitration, but for dispute resolution and law practice in general.
