AS Terminal is defending its rights in the liquid fuel market regarding violations committed by aktsiaselts Olerex.
Companies operating in the fuel market in Estonia must fulfill the biofuel obligation, which essentially means that a certain amount of fuel allowed for consumption must be biofuel. In Terminal’s view, one of the market participants has consistently violated this obligation., These violations have become possible due to insufficient supervision, among other things.
Terminal has begun to protect its rights and to act in order to restore a normal market situation. To this end, Terminal has actively contributed to various proceedings and filed a claim for damages to the court with, submitted a complaint to the European Commission, appealed to the Competition Authority, contributed to legislation, etc.
COBALT is advising Terminal in all proceedings and tasks that can contribute to the termination of violations, the prosecution of violators, and the restoration of a normal market situation. Our team is led by Managing Associate Annika Peetsalu. The team also includes Partner Jaanus Mody, Managing Associates Kaidi Reiljan-Sihvart and Lembit Tedder, Specialist Counsel Mart Blöndal, Junior Associates Laura Viira and Crislyn Piirits, Associate Henri Hansson, Assistant Lawyers Jaanus Randma and Kristi Ojala.
